TrudyIreland.com NPC Teen, Collegiate and Masters Nationals, Pittsburgh 2004 - Saturday, July 24, 2004    I just finished up with the finals here in Pittsburgh at the NPC Teen, Collegiate and Masters Nationals. It has been a great journey and I am VERY pleased with my conditioning, VERY pleased with the how well the show was put on, VERY pleased to have met so many new friends who competed with me, AND, I'm even VERY pleased with my placing!!!!!!   I received second place in the Heavyweight Masters Women over 35, weighed in at 152. BUT......the score sheets posted today in the lobby at the Sheraton in Pittsburgh showed a tie between Deniz Odar and myself for first place!!!  Deniz won by one point.  She looked GREAT and I was VERY happy for her.  Wait till you see her pics, you'll love her look!!!!    I am so happy to have had this experience, so happy to have it over. I told myself this would be my last show but I'm already thinking about competing next year!  Hell, I would love to do the North Americas but need to focus on my personal life and finances for a while instead of preparing for another show. I had a very generous sponsorship for the Masters this year. I want to thank John for being so supportive, believing in me, helping me reach another one of my goals!   As I said, it was a beautiful journey........even the carb depleting, the twice a day cardio sessions, posing, dieting...........it must be the most intense thing a person could do to one self and I'm sure that is why I love bodybuilding so much.  If it was easy, I wouldn't have any interest in it. I'm putting up some pics from backstage and out and about for you to enjoy.     In the past two weeks I have shot with Scott Styles in Vegas, Joe Lobell  and George Legeros in Pittsburgh.  George got some unbelievable stuff the day of the show.....I CANNOT wait to get it on my site! Thanks to everyone for all the interest in my contest prep!
