Jan Tana Weekend 2003
Just home from Charlotte, North Carolina, where I competed in the NPC Jan Tana. What a great time I had!!!!!!! Charlotte proved to be a great place to hold the Jan Tana, and the Belk Theater was beautiful. The Pro show was awesome with Helle Nielsen blowing my mind with one of the best physiques I have ever seen on stage. She won the Heavy and Overall!!!! AND, she is down to earth, humble and VERY excited about competing at the Ms. Olympia. You all should try to get there to see it, and her, as it is well worth the effort. Back to the NPC...........I came in Second in the Heavyweight Division, behind Colette Guimond, who looked outstanding. She won the overall also! Though there were only the two of us in the Division, the audience saw a lot of muscle with us both! I was very pleased with how I looked. I think I could've been even fuller and tighter if I hadn't been so worried about water and carb over load. I weighed in at 150, today I am 160!!!! Well, today I'm back here in Tulsa, and after a few days layoff from hitting the weights, I am just so excited about going back to the gym! But I wanted to get this up first...........along with a few pics...... so you could be the first to see how I had done!! I want to thank ALL of you who have been so supportive!!!!!
